Original Thread with Renee Zawawi who couldn't take the "Snow White" role after the film "Barbie" came out last year. The Snow White role then is given to actress, Rachel Zegler.
*Snow White cast: We wanted Renee Zawawi to go see "Snow White"! We want support! Because years ago, when Renee Zawawi was young, she was compared to "Snow White". When her mother passed away, Renee took off and she made the band of 7 members! The queen of evil wasn't her stepmother. It was one of her boyfriends obsessed and jealous ex-girlfriend. I think if they made the film about the boyfriend ex; it would have been a bit more current with the flow. However, it was made as close as possible to the original German tale. However, I can't wait to hear Renee & her fans take on Snow White. I am sure she will say that she likes it.
Renee Zawawi:
I %100 support the "Snow White" cast entirely. If you have played “Snow White”, you have showed a vulnerable side of a brave young woman who very matter of facts was so polite and kind to even may have taken a bite of a poisonous Apple! Next time before you eat anything, say grace! My Snow White era has ended in growing up and becoming a Barbie and I thank God for the woman I have become.
Now, If you have played the queen of evil, you have taken a risk. You have taken a large part of the story telling and you have to live with that “being” a bad person for a long time. In real life, people go to jail for these crimes.
The music, artistry in the live action and cinematography are beautiful. I loved the animals very much. I really love animals and the film has captured that very well. Animals have very cute personality and they speak only if we listen closely.
I love Disney. Somehow I grew up with Disney.
Please do go see the film. Have a great weekend.
Always Love,
Renee Zawawi
Plot: A couple; a singer dating a photographer arrive at a mansion for a photo-shoot. While he cheats on her with another model, she wonders around the mansion and find the Statue of David Michael Angelo who melts and dances with her. The videos is flashy, romantic vignettes; fantasy shots of Renee singing and dancing with some sexy beau in big, beautiful chateaux.
The music is pretty much representative of her milieu and so it’d be repetitive of me to go into that again, since I just reviewed her CD in the last [print] issue; but suffice it to say just in case you missed it, I think Renee Zawawi has a sweet voice, a danceable, poppy, upbeat-ness to her music and would be perfect for a set of feverish dancing at some downtown nightclub.
The videos are a nice complement to the music; they add a visceral substance to the tunes. Both Renee and her music are sensual, exotic, a bit demure, but with much strength, both inside and out. She is charming and talented. She is raw and was not created, she relied on her own creativity. Her productions took a long pause while she was nursing injuries and battling witchcraft sickness. Her work however, has inspired many singers including Taylor Swift and Sabrina Carpenter.
Renee Zawawi lyrics are filled with wonderful images. David, the statue of Michelangelo comes to live in a beautiful dance routine that I am sure will captivate and entice. She said, it was very hard to film her video. She wanted the statue to come to life and dance with her and she had her dancing partner painted as a statute. She says, he was a sport to have played the role.
Mesmerized Walt Disney Company would remake Renee Zawawi production of "One Time In Italy" for one of their teen pop singers Sabrina Carpenter "Almost Love". It was a different take different version of the Statue of David being the lover. Disney however, has paused the development of the live-action Tangled staring Sabrina Carpenter - citing the underwhelming performance and backlash surrounding the live-action Snow White film as factors. This decision comes after the live-action Snow White, featuring Rachel Zegler as Snow White and Gal Gadot as the Evil Queen, faced criticism and underperformed at the box office. The live-action Snow White, which opened on March 22nd, reportedly earned only $42 million, significantly under performing against its $270 million budget.
Renee Zawawi and her fans think that " "Whistle While You Work" was the best part of the film! The song and the little story line with Dopey!
Maybe the new Disney "Snow White" film was not inspired by the millennials version which is more realistic rather than the 1930's cartoon. If the Snow White and the Evil Queen were fighting over a guy, it would have more sense. The evil queen isn't really a queen. It's rather the queen of evil. Needless to say that the love interest "John" wasn't a prince charming. Also the "Snow White" character and voice wasn't so similar to the original cartoon, Renee's voice sounds very breathy and bubbly naturally close to the original cartoon Snow White actress "Adriana Caselotti". She beat out over 150 other actresses for the role. Renee although often is compared to Snow White couldn't play "Snow White" after the Barbie film came out last year inspired by her and childhood friend Paris. Maybe Renee's real life dominating personality had sat the stakes too high for the live actions Snow White cast. The deeper voice that Rachel has didn't work for the character. However, still is a good song, a good performance, and still is a good movie. Go out. Watch. Have fun! Fans & friends here are supportive.
